Clinical Lab Scientist
Full Time Graveyard Shift

Performs all laboratory tests necessary for diagnosis and treatment of patients at the request of attending physician(s). Is responsible for reporting results, which are accurate as substantiated by the use of appropriate controls. Performs and demonstrates proficiency testing and understands the routine procedures for all areas of the clinical laboratory with minimal supervision. Maintains all instrumentation as scheduled and participates in QA process. Responds to critical results by notifying caregivers. Understands and adheres to safety, regulatory and compliance mandates.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  1. Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist License from CA DHS LFS
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory or related science
  3. 1 year of hospital clinical training
  4. 2+ years as a CLS
  5. Generalist work experience
  6. Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule
  7. Working knowledge of hematology, chemistry, urinalysis and blood bank

Under the direction of the Director of Patient Services, the Director of Nursing, SNF has the authority and responsibility for defining the philosophy and objectives for nursing practices within Ralph Neate Extended Care. She/he is responsible for overall operation of the two SNF campuses: Ralph Neate Extended Care Phelps Avenue and Ralph Neate Extended Care Maple Road. The position also has the authority and responsibility for establishing standards of nursing practice, nursing policies and procedures, and nursing standards of patient care. The Director of Nursing will have 70+ direct reports, and be responsible for the entire nursing operation of the 99 bed SNF.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  1. Current/Active California RN license
  2. Baccalaureate degree in nursing or a related field required
  3. At least ten years of experience in nursing administration or supervision, with evidence of continuing education directly related to the job specifications
  4. At least five years of recent experience with Skilled Nursing Facilities and specifically Title 22 regulations
  5. Knowledge of current theoretical approaches to delivering nursing care and strategies for examining and applying relevant concepts and current leadership, management, and performance improvement concepts
  6. Ability to participate in developing and implementing strategies to address opportunities for improving nursing care

Fridays and Saturdays – 10 hours shifts

This position is for a brand new Rural Health Clinic at Coalinga Regional Medical Center. The LVN Coordinator is a member of the nursing team who functions under the direction, guidance and supervision of the Physician’s Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, or Rural Health Clinic Medical Director. The LVN Coordinator, with guidance, assists in providing and evaluating nursing care for patients and in coordinating nursing care activities with other health care disciplines. The LVN Coordinator may have oversight of the nursing schedule as well as supervision of the Medical Assistant and Receptionist. The LVN Coordinator actively participates in the Quality Improvement activities. The incumbent will take vital signs; collect data such as height and weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration. Under direction, the LVN Coordinator may perform procedures, treatments or tests. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing appropriate instructions to patients/families.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  1. Current California State LVN license
  2. CPR Certification required
  3. 5+ years of experience in a nursing environment preferable
  4. Significant prior experience in a clinic or medical office setting preferred
  5. Bilingual candidates preferred
  6. Must be able to perform duties with minimum supervision
  7. Knowledge of rural health clinics, billing and office set up

Speech Pathologist
Per Diem only

Responsible for consultation and direction of speech pathology in the Skilled Nursing Facility. Performs diagnostic evaluations of residents with communication disorders. Administers speech and language treatment to residents. Interprets findings and treatment to resident’s families, teachers or other concerned parties. Provides guidance and counseling. Plans and conducts remedial programs designed to improve or restore communicative facility. Administers treatment in individual or group sessions with residents. May refer residents to specialists in medicine, dentistry, psychology, education or related areas. Keeps abreast of developments in the field of speech therapy by attending professional seminars and workshops.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  1. Current California State Speech Language Pathologist license
  2. Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology/Therapy
  3. 3 or more years of previous experience in all aspects of speech pathology/therapy
  4. Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of staff
  5. Must exhibited energy, enthusiasm, creativity, tact, sympathy, patience and understanding
  6. Understands group and family dynamics
  7. Knowledge of Medicare/Medi-Cal regulations, Patient’s Rights as well as California Consent Laws
  8. Proficiency with computer and all necessary applications
