Director of Patient Services – Full Time – Exempt

Job Summary

The Director of Patient Services (DPS) is a member of the administrative team of CRMC and as such, participates in decision-making, policy determination, planning and operations of the hospital. The DPS has the authority and responsibility for defining the philosophy and objectives for nursing practices within Coalinga Regional Medical Center. She/he is responsible for operationalizing the philosophy of nursing. The position also has the authority and responsibility for establishing standards of nursing practice, nursing policies and procedures, and nursing standards of patient care. More specific responsibilities are outlined below:

  1. Focus/Dignity, Excellence, Teamwork, Adaptability and Responsibility.
  2. Develops hospital-wide patient care programs, policies and procedures that describe how patient’s nursing care needs or patient populations receiving nursing care are assessed, evaluated and met.

  4. Participates with governing body, management, medical staff, and clinical leaders in hospital’s decision-making structures and processes including strategic planning process.

The Infection Control Nurse, RN, is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, planning and coordinating CRMC’s Infection Control Program. Performs surveillance to identify actual and potential nosocomial and community acquired infections and takes appropriate interventions to minimize the spread of infections. Maintains updated hospital-wide policies and procedures pertaining to the Infection Control Program in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations. Collects and interprets data, maintains statistics and prepares reports of findings for the Infection Control Program/Committee, hospital departments and others as necessary. Qualifications:

Under the direction of a radiologist, performs various radiographic exams at a technical level requiring no constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis.   1. Satisfactory completion of an approved program in Radiologic Technology with a minimum of 2 years experience as staff technologist with one year of experience in CAT scan

Nurse Practitioner – Rural Health Clinic

The Nurse Practitioner assumes primary health care of specific patients under the general direction of the Rural Health Clinic Medical Director. The incumbent follows established nursing standards, procedures and practices and gives specific patient care directions to nursing staff. The Nurse practitioner will examine patients, perform comprehensive physical examinations, administer or order diagnostic tests, develop and implement patient management plans, document progress notes, as well as performing appropriate charting and other documentation. The Nurse Practitioner will also treat common episodic and health care conditions with an emphasis on health maintenance and disease prevention.

Qualifications:

  1. Can provide documentation of a minimum of 600 hours or postgraduate onsite supervised primary care experience within the past three years in the pediatric age group to be served. Supervision of the 600 hours must have been by a family practice or pediatric physician or an internal medicine specialist who serves children 14 years of age and older. The documentation for this requirement may be, at a minimum, provided in up-to-date curriculum vitae.
  2. Current and valid California State RN and Nurse Practitioner license required.
  3. Current BLS for Healthcare Workers (American Heart Association) required.
  4. Current DEA and Furnishing License required.
  5. Possess written protocols that describe the review process by the physician of record when examination findings are suspect or abnormal.
