Admitting Clerk

Clinical Lab Scientist
Full Time, Part-Time or Per Diem

Performs all laboratory tests necessary for diagnosis and treatment of patients at the request of attending physician(s). Is responsible for reporting results, which are accurate as substantiated by the use of appropriate controls. Performs and demonstrates proficiency testing and understands the routine procedures for all areas of the clinical laboratory with minimal supervision. Maintains all instrumentation as scheduled and participates in QA process. Responds to critical results by notifying caregivers. Understands and adheres to safety, regulatory and compliance mandates.

QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist License from CA DHS LFS
2. Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory or related science
3. 1 year of hospital clinical training
4. 2+ years as a CLS
5. Generalist work experience
6. Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule
7. Working knowledge of hematology, chemistry, urinalysis and blood bank.

Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
Part Time or Per Diem

Under the supervision of the Radiologist, performs various ultrasound exams, at a technical level requiring no contestant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with initiative to apply prescribed diagnostic ultrasound for sonographic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

QUALIFICATIONS :
1. High School diploma, or equivalent.
2. ARDMS certification or eligibility.
3. 1+ years of full-time experience in an acute setting.

Dietary Aide
Per Diem Only

Under the direction of the Dietary Manager, the Dietary Aide works to provide wholesome, appetizing food presented in a pleasing manner in any setting, i.e., catering, cafeteria or patient care. In patient care, major consideration is the appropriateness of food for the diet, as ordered. Proper sanitation and safety practices are also major concern in this position. The Dietary Aide also assists Cooks with preparing and serving all food with recipes and prescribed procedures, always strictly following all proper health and sanitation laws.

QUALIFICATIONS :
1. High School diploma, or equivalent.
2. Previous food service experience preferred.

Dietary Services Supervisor

Supervises the activities of the Dietary Department to provide dietetic services to patients, hospital employees and community members. Performs a variety of dietary and food services more as determined by the day’s menu and job schedule.

Dietician
Full Time Regular - Exempt

The Dietician is responsible for providing dietary/nutritional consultation to the clinical staff, patient and family in accord with the interdisciplinary plan of care. Directs and supervises entire dietary operation of CRMC. Responsible to Directors of Nursing for carrying out appropriate feeding methods/formula or meal patterns. Plans menus, provides dietary counseling and complete nutrition assessments. Oversees a wide variety of administrative, fiscal and technical activities to ensure the efficient operation of the Dietary Department.

QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Baccalaureate degree in Nutrition from an accredited university OR comparable verifiable training/experience.
2. Minimum of one year of experience in a health care setting.
3. Experience in working with patients who have dietary problems related to illness.
4. Previous work with terminally ill patients/families is preferred.
5. Current state licensure in California. Preferred membership to the American Dietetic Association.
6. Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, flexibility and initiative.
7. Continued state or board certified education.

Director of Nursing
Skilled Nursing Facility


Full Time Regular

The Director of Nursing SNF is a member of the administrative team and as such, participates in decision-making, policy determination, and planning and operations of the hospital. Under the direction of the CNO, the DON has the authority and responsibility for defining the philosophy and objectives for nursing practices within Ralph Neate Extended Care - Phelps. She/he is responsible for operationalizing the philosophy of nursing. The position also has the authority and responsibility for establishing standards of nursing practice, nursing policies and procedures, and nursing standards of patient care. The DON must work closely with the DON of Ralph Neate Extended Care - Maple to ensure similar management of both skilled nursing facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Current/Active California RN license.
2. Baccalaureate degree in nursing or a related field with at least two years of experience in nursing administration.
3. Knowledge of current theoretical approaches to delivering nursing acre and strategies for examining and applying relevant concepts and current leadership, management and performance improvement concepts.

MDS Coordinator - SNF
Full Time
Monday thru Friday

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the incumbent is responsible for the coordination of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), the electronic transmission of RAI data to the state, the transfer of Resident Utilization Group (RUG) data to the Meditech financial system, and the on-going education of those preparing the MDS. The incumbent shall serve as the MDS Coordinator for both the SNF Phelps Avenue campus and the SNF Maple Road campus.

QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Graduated from an Accredited School of Nursing.
2. Current/Active California RN license.
3. Current CPR certification.
4. Some experience in the preparation of RAI.
5. At least two years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
6. Strong computer skills required.
7. Physically able to walk, stand, stoop and lift safely
8. Knowledge of standards of nursing practice for long-term care.

Nurse Manager - MedSurg

Under the direction of the Director of Patient Services, the incumbent is responsible for assessing, planning, implementation and evaluating the overall operation of MedSurg on a 24 hour basis. Responsible for maintaining compliance with all State and Federal regulations. Develops performance improvement programs. Responsible for supervision of MedSurg staff and establishing staffing patterns. Provides training and staff development. Utilizes appropriate problem solving, communication and delegation techniques. Various fiscal and administrative responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS :

1. Graduated from an Accredited School of Nursing program.
2. Current RN license to practice in California.
3. ACLS certification required.
4. CPR certification required.
5. Minimum of one-year acute care experience within the past two years in an accredited hospital.
6. Minimum of one year of management experience reflecting increasing responsibilities.
7. Ability to demonstrate strong leadership and effective problem solving skills.

Phlebotomist

Performs phlebotomy, laboratory order entry, pre and post analytical processing, cleaning and stocking, clerical functions and additional tasks as assigned.

1. Must have a current California State Phlebotomy license or significant phlebotomy experience prior to April of 2003.

Physical Therapist

Responsible for the evaluation of patients referred for physical therapy treatment, formulation of treatment plan and goals, and administration of the physical therapy treatments. Physical Therapy Assistant

Responsible for the Physical Therapist’s treatment plan and administration of physical therapy treatments. The Physical Therapy Assistant shall communicate with members of the physical therapy staff and other health team members to provide patient information regarding the treatment and progress towards goals. Also responsible for performing specific tests and measurements, physical therapy techniques appropriate to diagnoses, discharge planning, physical therapy modalities, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS :
1. High School diploma, or equivalent;
2. Fluency in Spanish highly preferred;
3. Typing speed 40 wpm;
4. 2+ years clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare setting;
5. Excellent customer service skills and professional conduct required;
6. Good verbal and written skills, including legible handwriting;
7. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred;
